Travelling to Cuba?

by Jessica Guenard-Valiquette on May 4, 2010

The Cuban government has advised that effective May1, 2010, visitors entering Cuba will be required to buy health insurance, that is approved or recognized by the Cuban government.

As of April 13th, Cuba does not have a published list of recognized insurance providers, nor is there any confirmation that Cuba will provide a list.

We strongly recommend that if you are planning a trip to Cuba, you get in touch with your benefits provider.  Their contact number can be found on your drug card, or in your plan booklet.  Your provider will be able to give you more information on what documents you will need to bring with you.

As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
